Dear Parents & Guardians
My name is Kyle Rettinger, and I am thrilled to welcome you to the Preschool Program at Calvary Lutheran Church. Our dedicated team is deeply committed to providing a nurturing environment where your child can thrive both academically and spiritually.
Our carefully crafted daily activities are engineered to foster growth in every facet of a child’s development. We maintain a harmonious rhythm to each day, alternating between periods of quiet introspection and active engagement, group interactions and individual exploration. Our schedule is a blend of teacher-directed activities and free-choice periods, ensuring a balanced, enriching experience tailored to meet the diverse needs and interests of our young learners.
A typical day in our preschool sees a seamless transition between indoor learning and outdoor play, of course, weather permitting. The treasures of nature outside our classroom doors provide a natural extension to the learning environment, offering boundless opportunities for discovery, exploration, and the sheer joy of play.
The materials and projects we introduce in the classroom are meticulously selected to be age-appropriate while allowing for a rich tapestry of individual differences. Our curriculum is alive with topics and themes that are not only challenging and captivating but also resonate with the rhythms of the seasons, the holidays, and the Christian values we hold dear.
At the heart of our preschool program lies the belief in the power of play as a catalyst for learning. Through play, your child engages with the world around them, manipulates and explores their environment, and in the process, lays down the building blocks of understanding, problem-solving, and creativity.
We are here to guide and support your child in this beautiful, early journey of self-discovery, learning, and faith formation. I am looking forward to an exciting and rewarding adventure together.
Warm regards,
Kyle Rettinger
